A very big thank you from the Ugarte family to everyone from the fabulous Little Bay community who attended our charity ball in support of Cancer Council NSW on 12 May.
We had a total of 183 guests with 30 or so from Prince Henry. No-one could deny the night was an exceptional success and so much fun.
For most Little Bay attendees it started with the bus ride to the venue (generously organised and donated by Mark and Lidia Pistilli and Sydney Minibus Hire), copious amounts of high quality food, fine wine and an assortment of other beverages.
The band, The Hips, were awesome. They managed to entice everyone, young and not-so young, onto the dance floor with their fun renditions of many old and some not-do-old favourite. Many thanks to The Hips for donating their time and for such a professional and fun performances. Yes – and they did it all for free!
Special thanks go to:
Ken Smith, from NG Farah, who hosted our live auction and did a marvellous job
Lesley Wood, our roaming photographer
Peter Wood, who organised lots of the prizes but was unable to attend on the night
Piccola Baia, for once again donating a dining voucher
$20,000 raised for Cancer Council NSW!
To our local supporters and sponsors. thank you for your generosity. Without your support we would not have been able to raise more than $20,000 for Cancer Council NSW.
Stay tuned for next year’s event – it will be on a much smaller scale – probably a breakfast at the Seniors Cottage, cnr Pine and Ewing Avenues.
