Anchor links in the newsletter not working?

What is an anchor link? An anchor link is a link on a page that brings you to a specific place on that page. Anchor links can be helpful when you want to bring a reader to a specific spot on a page.

The links applied to the contents list in the newsletter are anchor links, to lead you to each of the various articles in the newsletter.

If you're using a free web-based email service such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Outlook, or similar, you'll probably find the above links don't work for you. However, if you were to load any of the those email services onto your PC, laptop, IPad, smart phone, etc, and were then to retrieve your email via Windows Live Mail or similar, you'd find they do work.

There are varying views as to why this happens but no solutions that we're aware of, so it's very frustrating. However, it's pretty clear that using a free newsletter service such as MailChimp has its limitations. So, apologies in advance for any inconvenience experienced dear reader.
