Keep in touch and win a round of golf
Our new subscriber Lucky Draw winner for our first quarterly newsletter is Dennis Varkoly. Dennis lives in the Harpa building overlooking Macartney Oval with his wife Shannon. They moved to Little Bay 12 months ago from north-western Sydney and particularly enjoy living closer to family, friends and of course the Pacific coast. Dennis say, 'it feels like we're always on holidays!'
You could be our next lucky draw winner! All new subscribers go into a regular draw for a free round of golf at The Coast Golf and Recreation Club. To subscribe go to the Home page and complete your details at the foot of the right bar.
Lucy Goulding, husband Peter and children Archie and Alice are renting in the Alaris building on Pine Avenue while renovating the family home in Maroubra. Lucy was our Lucky Draw winner for February 2016.
Lucy was delighted with her prize, she says, 'Thank you so much for my lucky draw win!
'I'm not a golfer but my Dad and his wife are golf crazy,so I plan to pass the prize on to them for a round together during their visit from Adelaide soon.
'They'll be thrilled!'
Ben Arabin of Darwin Avenue was our Lucky Draw winner for September! The image shows Ben with his friend Natasha, who also lives on Darwin Avenue, having a pre-curry drink...you guessed it...at the Coast! Ben's been living at Prince Henry for the past year and, in his own words, he 'absolutely loves it here'. He says, 'the sense of community is something special that is rare in Sydney'.
Josh Graham and Beth Quinn were the two lucky winners of a round of golf for two, including a cart, at The Coast Golf Club (Mon-Fri).
Josh Graham (pictured with baby Charlotte) moved to Little Bay with his family in November 2014 from South Coogee. They live in the the Greenview apartment block on Harvey Street. Josh and wife Kelly just love strolling down to the beach and grabbing a coffee at Waterline on the way. Josh says, 'It's a great place for the kids to grow up. And, I'm looking forward to using my prize and getting back into golf.'
Beth Quinn (pictured with her grandson) says, 'Thank you so much for my lucky draw win! I'm not a golfer − always wanted to be but never found the time − so I'll pass the prize to my son and grandson'. Beth lives in a ground floor apartment in Millard Drive. She says, 'Everything you need is here at Prince Henry. I often stop for coffee at one the cafes. All my friends live in the area, and my family visits often. I just love living here!'

Trivia, trivia trivia!
Thursday 30 May 2013
The Coast Golf and Recreation Club partnered with the Prince Henry Community Website to present a trivia and banquet food night on Thursday 30 May. This not-for-profit event was organised by the community for the community. The ticket price covered most of the costs for the night including trivia by Trivia Magic, gourmet food by Graeme Jones, Coast Restaurant and Bistro, prizes for first and second place getters, and additional giveaways throughout the night. In addition four restaurant vouchers. courtesy of Driftwood on the bay − a newcomer to the La Perouse restaurant scene, were handed out to lucky recipients. Thanks to The Coast Golf and Recreation Club for subsidising the event, and special thanks to the club's operations manager, Ryan Clarke, for making the evening such a success. His tireless efforts and extraordinary patience were truly amazing! Around 75 friends and neighbours enjoyed the night − it was loads of fun!
Pizza on the beach!
Saturday 16 March 2013
Fabulous weather allowed us to enjoy the tail end of summer on Little Bay beach on Saturday 16 March. The group was smaller than we'd expected but nevertherless it was great to eat 'forbidden' food (that's pizza for those that weren't there), have a few drinks, and generally catch up with some neighbours we rarely get to see. Community get-togethers are always publicised in the E-newsletter as well as on the Notice board page of this website. Website friends also email their personal network of contacts. Please check the March E-newsletter, coming soon, for details of our next community gathering. It would be fabulous to see some new, and not so new, faces.
Australia Day 2013
Saturday 26 January 2013
How lucky were we to have an Australia Day without the forecast showers! We found a fabulous shady spot and enjoyed fine food, excellent company, and of course copious quantities of byo beverages. Many familiar faces and some not so familiar joined in the fun. Some came early some came later. Everyone was welcome.
Saturday 24 November 2012
What a great turnout! On 24 November 2012, more than 50 Prince Henry people enjoyed a fun night and great food at the Coast Restaurant.
