What's on at Prince Henry?

This page normally contains information and links to some of the many activities within the Prince Henry Community. However, because of the Corona virus (COVID 19) restrictions, there'll be nothing much to report over the next little while. Please check in on this page from time to time, just in case we have news to share.

No Toxic Incinerator for Matraville | Online meeting being organised for April

Given the Government Health advisory on the Corona virus (COVID 19), the National Toxics Network (NTN) has had to cancel the face to face information session planned for 31 March 2020 and will run it as an online meeting instead with the date to be advised — hopefully in April

NTN has advised that there has been significant interest from this part of the world, and sincerely apologises for the cancellation of the face to face session at the Prince Henry Centre on 31 March.

An online meeting will be scheduled, hopefully in April, with date and login details TBA soon.

Please check for updates on this web page from time to time. Visit the Proposed Commercial Waste Incinerator, Matraville page in the Call to action section for more details.

CA Annual General Meeting | POSTPONED TO 9 JUNE

In light of developments surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and given that the virus is highly contagious, in accordance with government directives the scheduled Annual General Meeting and the ensuing Executive Committee Meeting of Tuesday 14 April 2020 have been postponed.

The Community Land Management Act 1989 does not permit an alternative means of holding meetings such as teleconference, verbal voting or paper voting available to those in a Strata Scheme.

Community Association Executive Committee will continue to action items that at this time cannot be addressed in the normal way. All can be managed, per usual practice between meetings, by phone and/or email, with managing agent, Change Strata Management consulting with Executive Committee members as required and providing advice along the way.

Subject to developments and government directives over the coming weeks, it is hoped that the Annual General Meeting, and the ensuing Executive Committee Meeting can be held on Tuesday 9 June 2020.  However, a confirmation of both date and venue will be issued closer to the time.

If the current 'Social Distancing' requirements are still in place on 9 June, it will mean that the AGM venue will need to be large enough to accommodate a gathering of less than 100 people, with 4 square metres provided per person. These rules will of course be adhered to.

Everyone’s health is the Executive Committee's TOP PRIORITY, and the aim is to ensure any risk of spread is minimised.
